Publisher review:MenuMeters is a System Preferences pane that offers you the possibility to view information about your CPU, disk, memory and network activity via discreet menus placed in your status bar.
From the MenuMeters panels you can enable the menus you want to have displayed in the status bar and make further customizations.
The CPU meter can be expressed in different modes: percentages (for each core), graphs or thermometer. The app also allows you to use various combinations: graph and percentage; percentage and thermometer; graph and thermometer or all three modes at the same time.
MenuMeters can illustrate the disk activity using arrows, color arrows, lights, aqua lights or disk arrows (a large mode is included).
To help you analyze the memory usage, MenuMeters can generate usage charts, usage bars, a usage history graph or you can view used and free totals.
Last but not least, the network activity can be conveyed by using arrow illustrations or by showing the throughput. Additionally, MenuMeters can generate and activity graph. The app also allows you to combine different viewing modes.
MenuMeters offers you the possibility to adjust the update interval for each menu and the individual menu panels provide further customization options. For example, you can change the default graph colors, size or style.
The MenuMeters representations are displayed directly in your status bar and you must choose to enable each menu individually: this way you have an extraordinary control over the displayed data.
